'Empower' is a private counselling centre run by Ms.Latha Vidyaranya. She has an M.A.in Psychology and has also completed a certificate course in Special Education (Mental Retardation and Learning Disability).She helps students and adults develop coping/problem solving skills and build confidence. Her focus is on spreading awareness about the importance of mental health, support people in understanding human sexuality and training counsellors. She has volunteered as a special educator for five years, counsellor and has coordinated sessions and training courses on counseling. She addresses students in high schools and colleges on academic and personal issues. She also addresses employees/members of various Organizations and ladies Clubs on topics of mental health. She also provides Psycho-educational assessment services for children.
