Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is an all-India intellectual, cultural and educational centre that offers multidimensional programmes in Indian culture, ancient science, Sanskrit, fine arts, folk arts, as well as regular college level courses. It has 95 centres in India and six centres abroad. It has a weekend school that offers classes in classical dance, vocal and instrumental music, and art and craft, for both adults and children. It has also organised workshops on different styles of painting. It holds morning and evening classes in yoga, the Vedas and Sanskrit. It organises regular, theme-based cultural programmes on festivals, national days and birth anniversaries to promote and encourage young talent. It has a limited number of scholarships for economically disadvantaged children, and children with disability. Apart from its regular seminars on Indian science, philosophy and culture, it has a publication centre, Pusthak Bharati.
