CHAI-KA works primarily in the area of community health, with a special focus on programmes for women and children. It works in partnership with 239 member institutions in Karnataka. The member institutions that work with children provide health care, counselling and education. In Bangalore, it provides support to two organisations working with street children and three child counselling centres.
