Ms Chitra Baitmangalkar is a journalist and writer. She has a diploma from the Institute of Children's Literature, Connecticut, USA, and has contributed stories to several magazines. She has conducted Fun With English workshops to improve children's vocabulary, grammar and writing skills, using games, puzzles and skits; and has adapted these methods to teach slow learners. She is keen on improving the standard of children's literature available in India, and is currently putting together a short course on creative writing for children. She is also working on a project that will incorporate the use of stories for teaching grammar.
