EQUIP, a project of the Rural Institute for Community Education (RICE), is an educational resource centre. It works with teachers in 200 early education centres run by 32 NGOs who are supported by Terre Des Hommes, Netherlands*. It trains teachers in classroom techniques, learning methodologies and preparation of low-cost teaching aids. It has set up a teacher's resource room at Mandya that provides resource support to 20 schools. It offers teacher training for government schools under the DPEP* with an emphasis on activity based learning. It disseminates learning material through its centre in Bangalore.
