DIPTI provides counselling to individuals and families. It offers counselling to students in ten urban and six rural schools. It also has programmes on study skills, leadership training, career guidance and sex education. For parents and teachers, it holds workshops on learning disability, effective teaching and parenting. It is also involved in the campaign against child abuse, by creating awareness and promoting the rights of the child. It has a legal education programme for women and children. It also offers certificate courses in counselling.
