The Parikrma model works towards enabling underprivileged children to compete on equal terms. To achieve this, it provides high quality inputs in the areas of nutrition, healthcare, education and the development of the slum communities these children come from. Parikrma manages two Centres for Learning that impart a high quality of education. The Royal Parikrma Centre for Learning in Kormangala has 160 children, while the Centre for Learning in Sahakarnagar has 161 children. Both schools are from KG to Standard 5. 40 new students join KG each year and the classes will be extended to Standard 10. The medium of instruction is English and the curriculum followed is ICSE. The attempt is to create a joy of learning that overcomes their short attention spans. Children are also provided balanced meals and healthcare services. Under its community development programme; Parikrma runs a vocational training programme for older children and a de-addiction programme. Parikrma is working with the government to impart this high quality education across their schools through the Parikrma Working programme. It is currently working with 12 government schools to help improve the percentage of children passing out of Standard 10. It plans to extend this model to other schools as well.
