World Vision India works with 20 slum communities in five areas  Bypanhalli, Kavalbyrasandra, Koramangala, JP Nagar and Yeshwantpur. It works with street, slum and working children, including children with special needs. It has four day care centres for children between 3-5 years and helps to enrol older children in formal schools. It assists with their and educational materials, and provides health care services through camps, regular check-ups and hospital referrals. It has a special programme for girls through which it provides shelter, non-formal education, enrolment in formal school, and vocational training for 25 girls involved in begging and ragpicking. It has six zonal offices with its head office at Chennai.
