CRT is involved in creation and mobilization of public opinion in favour of child rights; protection of childrens inherent rights and sensitization of children to their rights. In this context, CRT organized a 2-day southern regional consultation on the National Plan of Action for Children during which NGOs and academics discussed the governments first periodic report on the Convention on Rights of the Child (CRC). CRT, along with other NGOs, is involved in providing inputs to evolve the National Plan of Action for Children which is due to be completed by the end of 2003.
