Ashraya has a home for abandoned and destitute children. It is involved in domestic and international adoption, including placement of children with special needs. It has five mobile creches on construction sites. As a member of the Home Committee Ashraya plays an important role in the Government Observation Home, in an endeavour to improve the quality of living , including better facilities and management. It helps to restore lost children to their families in conjunction with the children's helpline, Makkala Sahaya Vani*. It has a residential centre for women in distress and unwed mothers, including day care for their children. It runs a rural residential school, Neelbagh, in Madanapalli, for village children and children of construction workers. Ashraya also runs three creches now.
