Ms Poile Sengupta is a poet, columnist, writer of children's books, educator and playwright. She has written several children's books, and English Language text books. She was a consultant and contributor to Target, a magazine for children, and has written a humour column for children in Children's World, a magazine of the Children's Book Trust, for over 30 years. She had an interactive fortnightly column for children in the Times of India, Bangalore, and a fortnightly column on education in the Deccan Herald, Bangalore.<p>She has also written several plays, including two one-act plays for children. She is working on publishing two volumes of plays for children.
