CIF is an Indian aid agency which provides financial support to 32 organisations across the country working in the areas of education, health, disability, community development and environment. It also provides non-financial support, including material resources, to over 100 NGOs. It has 5 branches across the country. It creates public awareness on social issues, and has launched a website, Sahayata, with information on various NGOs in India. The site serves as a link between NGOs and donors who wish to contribute money, materials, their services, or help create awareness. It raises funds through corporate and individual donations, child sponsorship schemes, the sale of greeting cards and exclusive products, and by organising special events.
