Baal Suma is run by Ulhas and Mangala. The psychotherapist-psychologist combine have been working with slow learners and children with ADHD since 1999. They also provide assessment, evaluation and treatment for children with social and behavioural problems. They undertake counseling and guidance to help parents and siblings. Ulhas and Mangala have developed indigenous phonic and blending aids for use in teaching language and enforcing concepts in maths. While they primarily work with children with learning disabilities, they also counsel ‘super achievers’—children who struggle to come to terms with the weight of expectations. They have developed mind mapping and memory techniques to enhance study skills. Baal Suma periodically conducts workshops for parents and children.
