HOPE Foundation is an independent affiliate of HOPE Worldwide. It was established as a charitable society in 1991.
The focus areas of HOPE Foundation are: education & vocational training for young people, rehabilitation and care of orphans, persons afflicted with leprosy, dying HIV/AIDS victims, post-disaster situations like the tsunami/earthquake etc. They also offer health care and awareness programmes.
The foundation operates through Centres of HOPE that are a collection of programmes integrated to serve the poor in a specific community, depending on local needs.
In Bangalore, the work of the organisation includes:
2 schools for children (4-14 years) that is based on the State Board syllabus.
8 computer literacy centres for unemployed and underemployed youth and students (16-25yrs) across the city of Bangalore
A home for street children supported by a corporate
A community based primary health camp (held every week) also supported by a corporate.
